Wiki Collaborations lead to the Best by the Best

A wiki is a web page that may be changed by the reader. The changes immediately take effect. Wiki is the Hawaian word for Quick.

The most well-known wiki is Wikipedia - an encyclopaedia of more than 250,000 articles.

Wikis are meant to enable the combined wisdom and knowledge of a social community to be written in a single place for all to see. This social component is very important - if you want wikis to work for you then you must keep the tone open and inviting.

The site administrator can set flags on the Site Details page to permit wiki pages, to permit new wiki pages and whether the users must register first.

Then the Page Properties page is ticked to say it has wiki sections.

AboutIT pages can be divided into sections. You can tick each section to make it a wiki or not. The user can even insert new sections if they wish.

And if you give permission they can add whole new pages.

You can also require users to register and then sign-on before they can contribute..
